Which star wars book should i start with first?
I was wondering which star wars book to read first. And im not referring to the timeline of episodes 1 through 6. im referring to the thousands of years before those events took place. im talking old republic timeline. any input would be much appreciated. could you maybe also possibly suggest some books to read after that.

Every SW book or comic has its own place in the SINGLE time line of the SW story. There are many alternate universe and/or “Infinities” titles out there but they are easy to spot and can obviously been seen as “what if this happened instead of what really happened.”

The time line of SW stretches back more than 5,000 years before the events of ep I and about 150 years after the events of ep VI … BUT … the era you are talking about has only a very few books in it as of yet. Most of this part of the time line is told in Dark Horse Comic stories. Dark Horse does an extremely good job with their SW titles. As for books in that era the only ones that I can think of off hand are the Darth Bane trilogy of books. The titles are “Path of Destruction”, “Rule of Two”, “Dynasty of Evil”. The third book just came out in the past week or so. These books are set about 1020 years before the events of the movies. I haven’t read the newest one but the first two were very good.

That’s about it for books in the era you are talking about … the rest of it is told in Dark Horse comics. I don’t think there will be many others written that cover this era but you never know with Lucas. Some books are planned that are set about 100 years before the events of the movies but that’s about it for that era.

In Star Wars Episode 3, what scenes do you think are the best to define Special FX?Well, on the DVD there is a documentary on all that was needed to make the short sequence of Anakin and Obi Wan exterior battle on Mustafar. I’m sure checking that out would go a long way for you, as it is a very complex scene.
After that, I would say Yoda v. Sidious, seeing as Yoda is a CGI character, and all he has going on with him in that. Likewise with Obi Wan v. Grievous. For what it’s worth Mace Windu v. Sidious and I believe Anakin v. Dooku both had the elder character’s face CG’ed over a stunt double.
After that…. take your pick at any of the background shots, since it’s pretty much all green screen.

When will the prequel episodes of Star Wars be released on Family Guy show?

When will the prequel episodes of Star Wars be released on Family Guy show?
The Family Guy show did some episodes in Star Wars version, would they do the prequels as well? When are they gonna release?
If you read the opening crawl of the third Star Wars parody done by Family Guy, it explained that Seth MacFarlane was not even that thrilled in making “Something, Something, something Dark Side” or “It’s a Trap!”. Since there was a lack in motivation to finish off even the Original series, I can imagine there is far less motivation to do another three covering the Prequels.
I purchased star wars battlefront recently and it worked fine. next day i tried to run it and it wouldnt start? i restarted windows and the game still would not run!!! ive tried everything, but it wont work! This has happened to me on empire at war (star wars to) and its happened to my ps3 battle front disk to i personally was able to fix EAW by downloading a patch of file planet i would suggest you you try it.Now if nothings happening when u put the disk in then the data could be corrupt in that case uninstall the game and then reinstall it.If neather work then its probably the disk in which case you can try srach fillers/removers or buy a new one which should be cheap by now.
What is the New Hope in Star Wars Episode IV?
In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope what is the new hope: Luke Skywalker or the Empire’s stolen plans for the Rebel alliance contained in R2-D2? And in the episode VI, is it return of the Jedi (Luke) ?
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope:
At the end of Episode III you see the Clone Troopers turning on and killing their Jedi Generals, and Darth Vader and the Emperor continued the hunt and destruction of the entire Jedi Order. To the knowledge of the Emperor and Vader Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda are the only two Jedi that remain unaccounted for. When Luke resolves to learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi like his father, he becomes the New Hope. For as the son of Anakin Skywalker, Luke inherited a powerful connection to the Force, and became the only champion the Jedi could produce to confront the Sith with both Obi-Wan and Yoda aging fast.
Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi:
After the Great Jedi Purge spearheaded by Vader and the Emperor wiped out what remained of the Jedi Order, only Yoda and Obi-Wan were unaccounted for. Obi-Wan was killed on the first Death Star which left only one Jedi. Yoda. When Yoda passed on Dagobah he told Luke “when gone am i the last of the Jedi will you be…” , yet Yoda also said the Luke would not become a Jedi until he defeated Darth Vader. So with the passing of Yoda the Jedi were indeed extinct for a short period of time. Luke defeated his father, Vader, on the Second Death Star and officially became a Jedi, when his father was redeemed, and died shortly thereafter, the Old Jedi Order was finally dead, and Luke was the only remaining Jedi having just achieved knighthood. This left the storyline open for the expanded universe novels who continue the story and tell just how Luke helped the Jedi truly return.

What outfit do you get in star wars the force unleashed 2 Sith edition?

What outfit do you get in star wars the force unleashed 2 Sith edition?
I entered the code and I’m on the second mission. I only have the clone outfit and the pilot outfit. how do you get the outfit I entered the code for?
if you mean the collector edition then you should get the maulkiller costume and the amplification lightsaber crystals. To redeem the code if you have the xbox 360, you have to first have an xbox live account (Free silver is ok) and then once connected to xbox live, press the xbox menu button and search for redeem code, then put the code in and it shoild download the costume and the crystals right away. If it is on PS3 then go to
then search for the add that says something like maulkiller costume the force unleashed 2 and follow the instructions in there.
About the dark lord armour, you can only get it by buying the character pack in xboxlive or Playstation store, it is about 1 dollar special prize. About the black crystal it is in the mission Kamino the return nearly at the end where there is a holocron at the top of the vents where you can only get by jumping in an object near it. The other is gained after receiving a gold medal in the scout trooper challenge.
Who is the author of the star wars books that take place after the original 3 movies?
Does anyone know what im talking about? In the books luke has re-established the jedi order, han and leia have kids who are jedi, get the picture? Im not sure if there is more then one book series on star wars so can anyone help me?
There is no one author of the Star Wars books that take place after the OT … there are many. Also, just in case you didn’t know, Lucas has never written a book in his entire life. When it comes to the Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe of books & comics) Lucas has a select “pool” of top notch Sci-Fi authors to write in the EU … a few of them are as follows: Timothy Zahn, Kevin J. Anderson, Michael Stackpole, Matt Stover, Aaron Allston, Troy Denning, James Luceno.
While there are many “book series” on Star Wars they are ALL part of one basic time line of events … they aren’t like the Star Trek books that don’t even have to make sense to be called Star Trek.
All the books of the Star Wars EU, while not written by, much get the OK of Lucas before they are published as he is the one who calls the shots in this galaxy he has created. The following link will take you to a time line of the books from Del Rey books

In star wars the force unleashed ultimate sith edition, how to get light side ending?

In star wars the force unleashed ultimate sith edition, how to get light side ending?

And for ps3 will add-ons for Star wars the force unleashed ULTIMATE SITH EDITION work from playstation network? Not sure about the Ultimate Sith Edition but if you’re going for the Light side ending and the Redemption trophy instead of jumping down to fight Vader run towards the Emperor and kick his face in.
What Star Wars book should I start with?
Im trying to get into the star wars books. In your opinion what series or book should I start with?
The Truce at Bakura would be a good starting point, because it begins the day after Return of the Jedi. From there, I would go to the Courtship of Princess Leia, then maybe to Tatooine Ghost (If you like Han and Leia) and then to the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. I, personally, did not enjoy the Thrawn Trilogy because it was very complicated. In that particular trilogy, they introduce a lot of new characters and start to move towards really deep-space Extended Universe stuff. However, the Thrawn Trilogy is a vital gateway towards a lot of the Extended Universe books about Han and Leia’s children.
If you are looking for a simple, fun read, I would head in the opposite direction, and read the Han Solo Trilogy by A.C. Crispin. The Han Solo trilogy consists of The Paradise Snare, The Hutt Gambit, and Rebel Dawn. It tells the story of Han’s life from the time he was 17, right up until Episode 4. It explains things like how Han and Lando came to be friends, how Han won the Millenium Falcon, and how Chewbacca came to owe Han a life debt. It deals with some of Han’s early girlfriends, and kind of describes his bachelor life. I would reccommend it because of how closely it matches up with the star wars trilogy.
I posted the wikipedia link for every Star Wars book ever written- I would reccommend finding some of thse titles and reading the synopsis Wikipedia provides. In the back of some of the older Star Wars books, like the Courtship of Princess Leia, there is a list of Star Wars books as well. The list is older and outdated, but it’s a little easier than wading your way through the wikipedia list.

How do I make Barbies look like Star wars Caricters?

How do I make Barbies look like Star wars Caricters?
My friend and I are really into star wars and we want to know how to make barbies look like caricters from star wars the caricters I need are Pad’me, Anikin, Luke and Liea, the cech, I have like 26 girl barbies and 2 have brown hair and I have one boy barbie any ideas?Honestly? You’d probably spend more money and time trying to change the looks of your dolls instead of investing in an actual figure. If you’re just going for the creative aspect, though, I’d suggest making a trip to Jo Ann Fabrics and making costumes for the outfit you want. I believe they sell Barbie wigs online, too. Sorry, I don’t know the site, but I’m sure you can google it.

How much memory do I need to play Star Wars Battlefront 2 on a xbox 360 arcade?
I am going to buy a used xbox 360 arcade from gamestop. The thing is, with a used 360, the memory is sold separately. I was going to buy the cheapest memory card, but i don’t know if it’s enough to play Star Wars Battlefront 2. Does anybody know?just a suggestion: do not buy the 360 used… it most likely does not have a factory warranty so if you get the RRoD then you are in trouble… Just buy a New arcade for 199…

How to find original star wars figurines?
Star Wars is my favorite movie and i would really like to own the original figurines is there any way i can find the characters? maybe ebay? how much money am i looking at? please answer i’m am actually desperate for any star wars fans to answer this.
I’ve seen a lot at large flea markets and, once in a while, a large antique store. Some have both old and new collectibles so you have to be careful what you buy. If the seller knows what he has, the older ones can cost a good amount (usually over $25+) depending on the condition, popularity, original in-the-box, etc. The newer ones from the 1990s and up can be $5 $10 or $15. Ebay might have some, but if they seller doesn’t show the back of the cardboard in his description, you can’t be sure it’s an original from the 1970s. They I’d be wary.

My kid collects both old and new, so we know what the prices should be. Do a little research before you do buy tho. There are price guides on web sites devoted to Star Wars.

In what order should I watch the star wars movies?

In what order should I watch the star wars movies?
I’m in shock … you’ve got two 100% true answers so far. I’m sure you will get others that tell you to watch them in the order of 1 – 6 but, and no offense intended to them, they just don’t get it. Yes, ep 1 – 3 are the back story for ep 4 – 6 BUT … you’ll have no idea what they are referencing to in ep 1 – 3 if you haven’t watched ep 4 – 6 first. Also, as the others said, you won’t be able to “feel” the emotions from these movies that show just what a great story it is if you watch them 1 – 6.
There is a scene in ep 5: The Empire Strikes Back that was voted as the # 4 most shocking revelation in the entire history of film by SAG. To this day I remember what happened in the theater I was in to see this movie for the first time and heard Darth Vader utter 5 words that turned the whole story on its collective ear … absolute silence … you could have heard a pin drop 10 miles away. Bear in mind that the theater was packed full of us “rabid fans” … to stun us silent is a big deal … lol … this lasted for about 10 seconds until someone stood up and yelled “Liar” at the scene … yeah it happened just like that … that set the rest of us off with “He’s lying Luke”, “Don’t believe him” … etc. All of us yelling at the screen … I guess it was one of those “had to be there moments” but what a moment !!! This went on until Luke made his decision and the we cheered him on. These movies grabbed the people of my generation and said “You think that was cool … watch this” …
There are 6 live action movies, 1 animated movie, 2 animated TV series and a live action TV series set to debut in the fall of 2010.
I wouldn’t bother worrying about the animated stuff at first … watch the 6 live action movies and then you can go back for the animated stuff … which is actually pretty good stuff that adds a lot of background info to the story as a whole.
I need help writing a speech on the mathematics of Star Wars. Anyone have any suggestions of where to start?
I am in Calculus and having to write this speech for a math competition, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I don’t know exactly what to write about or even how to start.Should I write on the film Star Wars or the missle defense system named Star Wars? Also, what is a good website to start gathering research?Well, a good way to learn about Star Wars is to read the visual dictionaries. Anyways, there is a lot on Star Wars on wookiepedia which is like wikipedia but just star wars. Also wikipedia has plenty of stuff on star wars also. In your speech you could explain how some of the things in star wars work, like lightsabers or blasters. Here is a sample of something you could find on wikipedia. ‘A lightsaber is powered by the dark red Kabuur crystal, which is built into the hilt. When the lightsaber is on, it glows red because of the color of the crystal.’ This is simple made up physics and math on how things work in Star Wars, but most of it is accurate to the movies and is what they say in the movies.I do not know what missile defense system you are talking about, but this explanation is all on the devices of the Star Wars universe based on the film. Watch the movies, read the books, and get it fresh in your mind and then write the speech. The best thing about researching star wars is that your imagination takes you away.

Why is the price for an original star wars ultimate lightsaber so high?

Friday, April 20th, 2012
Why is the price for an original star wars ultimate lightsaber so high?
I want to sell a star wars ultimate lightsaber kit that I had from several years ago, but I am confused as to why the price that i saw on amazon was so high. Can anyone tell me why and how much would a used one cost?Well, it was recently re-released for the Clone Wars, so maybe that first production is higher on Amazon because of that reason. If you have all the pieces in the original box, I’d say 20 dollars because the new one sells for about 30+. If you wanted, you could probably get 25-30.
How long will it take to download star wars the old republic from the disc?
I finally bought the digital copy of star wars the old republic to get the registration code to play it after downloading it from the website 3 weeks ago, But now the problem is that it runs slow, so my question is if I uninstall it and use the disc to download it again will my performance be better and how long will it take to download? On the disc it will take 30 mins at the least and 2 hours tops.
No I don’t think your performance will be better because it has to do with your computer, not where you download it from.
Which Star Wars Wii game should I get for my husband?
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed or Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels? He plays games with our 7 year old son.I would go with the light saber duels.
The force unleashed is awesome and has a deep star wars story. It does not have a multiplayer mode however (at least not on Xbox360.. I’m not 100% sure about the wii )
Light saber duels on the other hand allows your son to fight your husband with a light saber! It is aimed at multiplaying gaming. So if you want a fun game for both of them to enjoy, go with Light saber Duels.
You might also want to consider: Star wars the clone wars : Republic Heroes!
It is a game with a story and is based on the clone wars animated series ( Maybe your son watches these on tv? )
It also has a multiplayer option and is easy to play!

What is the name of the Star Wars book where Luke succumbs to the dark side?

What is the name of the Star Wars book where Luke succumbs to the dark side?
I’ve been reading a lot of the Star Wars Novels, recently. I started with the “Thrawn-C’baoth Trilogy,” went as Far as Visions of the Future, and jumped back with the Hutt Gambit. When I was reading the Jedi Academy Triolgy, I was surprised to learn Luke had served Palpatine’s Clone, going to the Dark Side (for one book?)
What I want to know is what is the name of the book(s)? I skim through the backs of those that tell about other books, but have been unable to find anything about this. Can some one help me?
